A few months ago, I applied to swatch and review some polishes from TarasTalons through Tara’s blogger application. Tara got in contact with me and asked if I would like to work with her, obviously I couldn’t say no and Tara kindly sent me a couple of polishes to feature on my blog (I’ll get on to them in a minute!) First, a little bit about Tara;
- TarasTalons opened in April 2013, and is the UK’s longest trading handmade indie polish brand. All of TarasTalons polishes are one offs, limited edition or custom made.
- Tara recently expanded to ‘TheTaraEmporium’ which is also a lifestyle, beauty and fashion brand, including nail art kits, jewellery, and handmade bath and beauty products.
- Tara also launched her online magazine, TheTaraEmporium edit, featuring tutorials, reviews, interviews and more.
The two polishes I received from Tara were #datenight, and The Purpletraitor.
The Purpletraitor is a gorgeous ‘blurple’ shimmer, the formula was great, my pictures show three coats with no top coat.
#datenight is a pretty light green shimmer, with silver holo hearts. I applied three coats of the polish first avoiding the hearts, then placed them on after. They did require a little fishing with being larger glitter, but after giving the bottle a good shake it was quite easy to pick them out! My pictures show three coats with one coat of HK Girl.
I was provided these polishes for review and did not receive any payment.
