London

Last weekend I had a trip to London, mainly a trip for my birthday, so on Saturday I had a shopping day, Harrods, Selfridges (where I finally got to try Pinkberry – yum!) and Oxford Street. On Sunday we went to Fulham v Sunderland, Sunderland lost, but the lovely Phil Bardsley scored a brilliant goal, so it was still a good day! Then before we came home on the Monday we went to London Zoo, which was absolutely brilliant, and I’ll be posting some pictures of!

I did have a bit of a nail disaster on the way down though. This is how my nails originally started out –

From my thumb to my little finger, this is Nails Inc Warwick Avenue, Nails Inc Brompton Place, Nails Inc Power Pink (free with InStyle Magazine), Barry M 308 Berry Ice Cream, and Nails Inc Chalk Farm. I then added Models Own Indian Ocean over the top of them all and I loved it! But, about an hour and a half into my journey I chipped a little bit off my index finger. I don’t think anyone would have noticed, but it was bugging me, so the first thing I did when I went shopping was buy nail polish, remover and some cotton wool for when I got back to the hotel!

I couldn’t resist the cupcakes from Harrods, I could have bought all of them!

My favourite part of Selfridges, Christian Louboutin! I would LOVE a pair of these shoes, but I think £3500 is a bit out of my price range, but they’re beautiful!

So, onto the zoo, which was brilliant, even though I was exhausted after 3 days of walking miles around London! I’ve picked out some of my favourite pictures (very impressed with my new camera!)

I was amazed by Butterfly Paradise, having all those butterflies flying around you, and being able to get so close to take pictures, although it was a shame the prettiest ones shut their wings when they stopped flying!

I loved being so close to the spider monkeys too, it was just a shame I couldn’t stay longer to get some better pictures of them.

This was the birthday cake my dad got me, more than half has already been eaten!

Magnetic Red

This Barry M polish is also down as Magnetic Burgundy on some bottles, but I decided to go for red in the title as my bottle says red! I’m not sure if it’s just me, but after I applied the magnet, the polish seemed to look three different colours. I do love this colour though, it’s a lovely metallic red, and when the magnetic was applied the diagonal stripes are a darker shade. As much as I liked the star design on Magnetic Blue, this diagonal effect was much easier to use, as all of my nails were even.

I didn’t use a top coat on this, as I have very little left at the minute, which is why there are a couple of dints in a couple of my nails. I’ll have to get myself a new topcoat/basecoat duo in my next Nails Inc order, when I also plan on ordering this:

Nails Inc’s limited edition Jubilee Crystal Colour, which is packed with red, blue and silver glitter. I LOVE this! I also have a £5 voucher from Nails Inc VIP for my birthday, yay! 🙂

I’m off to London for the weekend on Saturday, shopping, football and the zoo, and I can’t wait! I’m hoping to find some of the new Barry M colours down there that I can’t seem to get my hands on up here! I also plan on doing some celeb spotting whilst getting lost in Harrods and Selfridges, and I really want to try some Pinkberry!
